My grandparents ran coffee shops in San Francisco. That’s how I got through college, and it’s most of the reason I work the way I do — take the unglamorous job, look after the people around you. I’m the grandson of Filipino and Chinese immigrants and you can’t really read the rest of this without that part.

I studied Economics at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with Computer Science and Statistics alongside it. Then five years at Shippo, where I started in strategy and operations and moved into product. I spent most of it on pricing — their first enterprise pricing model, then rebuilding SMB subscription pricing — and on the work nobody was competing to own, like the audit that caught $1.2M we were overpaying USPS.

Now I work on monetization and growth at Vercel. Pricing gets genuinely strange when the customer is an agent instead of a person, and that’s the part I like. I’m also a co-founder and advisor at Prizmatic, an AI medical research agent, and I’m an MBA candidate at Stanford.

Outside of that: I married my high school sweetheart in June 2025. Golf, basketball, and good company take most of the rest. Warriors and Niners. I once beat Klay Thompson in a game of knockout. Tokyo is the current favorite city, and I’m unreasonably good at miles and points — ask me about the Maldives.
